Pets

At Niemeyer’s Rugged River Resort, pets are welcome.

We know your furry friends are an important part of your family and we’d like you to be able to bring them along.

Not all of our guests are pet lovers and that’s ok.

Our goal, is an enjoyable stay for everyone, so a few simple rules must be followed:

• We ask you to keep your pet on a leash on resort grounds. (Do not allow your pet to run loose and unmonitored around the resort.)
• Please clean up after your pet. (A few bags have been included in your pet kit for your use.)
• Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. (To help protect our furniture we have included a fabric pad to keep pet hair & dirt to a minimum when pets rub against the furniture.)
• When your pet cannot be with you, we ask that you keep them in a portable kennel.

(If you don’t have one, we have kennels for your use.)

• Excessive barking is a nuisance and disturbance to all of our guests, please do not allow this.

Even the best mannered pets can act out of character in a new environment. A stay at a resort is filled with new people, sights and sounds. This can be stressful for pets.  Keep an eye on your pet to see how it is doing.

In fairness to all guests – these rules must be followed, or you may be required to make other arrangements for your pet. There are several Kennels in the area.

$2/night for camping
